Are LED bulbs good for headlights?
LED headlights emit a whiter, brighter light. Typically, they produce between 2,000 and 4,000 lumens. To put things into perspective, a halogen bulb's high and low beams each produce 1200 and 700 lumens, respectively. LED lights, therefore, cover a wider area and make the objects there more visible.
Can I replace my stock headlights with LED?
You can't exchange one for the other-you'll need a conversion kit. While LED bulbs last much longer than halogens, you will pay more for them. Additionally, the equipment needed for the conversion can get expensive. LEDs run cooler than halogens, but everything around them heats up.
